To compete for the scholarship, students are required to write an essay on the importance of having auto insurance.

The essay should be more than 1,000 words in length and feature unique content.  The essays will be judged based on creativity, originality and overall strength of the message the student is conveying.

After completing the essay, students are to share their writing on their personal blog or website.

  • Scholarships will be awarded annually to one lucky student.
  • Only one submission is allowed per student.
  • Essays must be submitted by January 15th 2014, and we will award the scholarship by February 15th.
  • The winning student will be awarded $1000 to pay for his/her education.  The scholarship will be delivered in a one-time payment and can be used for school related expenses such as tuition, board, and/or school books.

If the applicant is a college student, the student must have at least a 2.5 GPA and attend a college or university in the United States.  If the applicant is still in high school, you must have at least a 3.0 GPA and have already taken the ACT or SAT.  In addition, you must graduate high school within the next calendar year (2014).


If you are interesting in competing in the 2013-2014 essay contest, please mail your essay as an attachment to [email protected] by January 15th, 2014.   The email subject should be “scholarship essay” and in the body, please tell us your name, address, phone number, email address, and a link to your essay on your personal blog/website where the essay is posted.

After submitting your essay via email, you will receive a confirmation from us that confirms your submission is eligible and has been entered into the contest.
